Did you know that a teenager’s brain is bigger than an adult’s?

It’s true!

Why? Well, that has to do with a lot of complicated neuroscience that you can read up on if you have the time. Go on, you big brain, you. With that extra big brain, you have a better chance at understanding the science than we do.

Basically, a teenage brain is still collecting synapses and making connections because it doesn’t know what’s important and what’s not, so it keeps everything.  This makes the white matter of the frontal lobe rather large and cumbersome. So if you feel overwhelmed sometimes, it’s because you are!

Never fear – your young inefficient brain can do things you’ll never be able to do again, like go crazy go nuts in creative thinking! And what better way to express your creativity than creating inanimate objects that will love you forever for being unto a god to them for bringing them to life? Go on, you big-brain god-like cool guy, you.

So why not tap into your creative side and have FUN! Join Calvert Library and the TACOS for a night filled with artistic inspiration. Whether you’re an artist or just feel like one, come on!

Topics include: photocubism, Manga, felt little monsters, duct tape art, and origami.

Refreshments will be provided.
